VAA Membership

Membership fees are $275.00 plus $2.25 per unit for owners and Properties, $150 per vendor. Dues are due upon joining and then every January thereafter.

Membership in the Association shall be open to any business entity that shall agree to abide by the Code of Ethics of the Association. The classifications of the membership are as follows:

• Owner Member - An owner of multiple rental housing within the jurisdiction of the Association or a resident of the Victoria area who owns rental housing within the jurisdiction of the Association. An owner member must pay dues for all rental housing owned or managed within the jurisdiction of the Association.
• Associate Member - A business or person who supplies products or services to Members of the Association.
• Manager Member - A manager who is employed by an Owner Member.
• Meetings, seminars and trade shows where you can learn with your colleagues, seek out new products and solutions and build your professional network
• Sponsor Member - A Member who is qualified for another classification, but because of his/her interest and relationship to the apartment industry, desires to provide additional support to the Association.
• Honorary Member - A one-year membership may be awarded to any person, entity or governmental agency that has made a significant contribution to VAA or in furthering the goals and objectives of VAA. A nomination for honorary membership shall be initiated by the Executive Committee and requires approval by at least a 75% vote of the Board votes cast at a regular meeting of the Board or at a special meeting called for the purpose of considering a nomination. Honorary Members shall have such rights and privileges as determined by the Board of Directors.
• Distinguished Life Board Member - Distinguished life membership on the Board of Directors may be awarded to any person who has performed distinguished service to VAA, and who has served as a member for ten (10) or more consecutive years. A nomination for distinguished life membership shall be initiated by the Board of Directors and requires approval by at least a 75% vote of the Board votes cast at a regular meeting of the Board or at a special meeting called for the purpose of considering a nomination. Distinguished life members shall be considered an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors without voting privileges
